Magical night at Rush Show

Magical night as Prosper and Rush school students give spectacular show ‘Are you ready to come on this musical journey with us?’ John Paul McDermott, a service-user at Prosper Fingal disability organisation, asked the packed audience in the Millbank Theatre in Rush as he and his cast-mates staged a spectacular ‘Night at the Musicals’. And what a journey it was. A night of singing, dancing, fun and friendship was brilliantly staged on by the Transition Year (TY) students of St Joseph’s Secondary School in Rush, and adults accessing the local Prosper Fingal day service. Prosper Gives Back !

Prosper Gives Back ! David Cashell inspired his peers from our North Street service to host a coffee morning to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland in memory of David’s dad, who sadly passed away 8 months ago.  The coffee morning, which took place on Thursday May 2nd,  raised €427.41 for this great cause.  Attendees at the event included Prosper Fingal’s CEO, Pat Reen along with members of the Prosper Fingal Board of Management.  Our North Street service is in the heart of Swords and the local community were very generous in their support for this wonderful initiative. ...

“Friendly Voices Choir”

St Joseph’s Rush “Friendly Voices Choir” A fantastic event was organised recently by St. Joseph’s Rush TY Community Outreach Programme and their “Friendly Voices Choir”. St. Josephs School have close links with the community of Rush and with Prosper Fingal. We are so delighted and proud to see Prosper Fingal School Ambassadors involved in such a great initiative. “I can and I will” Eoin McHugh World Down Syndrome Day celebrates the achievements of those whose attitude is “I can and I will”.  Eoin McHugh who is supported by Prosper Fingal Swords,  embodies this positivity in his work ethic, his belief in himself as an active contributing citizen and on his journey towards independence and increased financial security. As our National Broadcaster, RTE Six One News celebrated World Down Syndrome Day with the achievements of Eoin and his peers, Prosper Fingal watched with pride as Eoin demonstrated to the Nation “I can and I will”. Success with Ernst and Young

Mark’s success with Ernst and Young Flagship Funding from The Ireland Funds is enabling the Trinity Centre for People with Intellectual Disabilities TCD to establish a graduate internship programme as part of their certificate course.  Mark Hogan, who attends the Prosper Fingal Donnycarney Service, made the best of this opportunity by completing a successful work placement at Ernst and Young.  Following on from this, Mark was offered a paid internship with Ernst and Young. View the video by the Trinity Centre for People with Intellectual Disabilities telling the story of Mark’s journey to success with Ernst and Young. Trinity Centre for People with Intellectual Disabilities Flagship funding is enabling the Trinity Centre for People with Intellectual Disabilities Inclusion TCD to establish a graduate internship programme as part of their cetificate course.
