Cycling Workshop - Malahide Castle
As part of National Bike Week (www.bikeweek.ie), we linked in with Fingal County Council at an event that took place in Malahide Castle today, Monday 24th June. The event was put on by the Road Safety Department at Fingal County Council and was run by the Irish Centre for Cycling.
Trainees from The Mall and some Service Users from Seatown Road took part in a cycling workshop. There were specialised instructors there to give tips and guidance to cyclists of all standards.
For those who were less confident on two wheels, the Irish Centre for Cycling provided Surrey Pedal Cars. These allowed groups to pedal and steer on four wheels and had a the benefit of a small canopy to ward off the rain!
As you can see from the photos below, the day went really well. This event was a little different to other things we have tried and the enjoyment and participation levels were great.
