Alice in Wonderland, Skerries and Balbriggan Services - 20th, 22nd & 23rd March 2018

In March 2018, three fantastic performances of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ were staged in the Little Theatre, Skerries by a cast from Skerries and Balbriggan services, Prosper Fingal.  As Prosper Fingal is celebrating its 40th Anniversary this year, the show made some references to the celebrations.  The show was an adaptation of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ but it was written by and for the cast.  The service users came to drama each week with ideas and songs that they wanted as part of the show and staff wrote these parts in for them.  This meant that the cast loved being part of the show and enjoyed all of the practice sessions as well as the performances.  The practice sessions were organised by the Skerries and Balbriggan staff teams in the Little Theatre.  The show was person-centred with each service user having full involvement.  This is the second year that Skerries and Balbriggan have successfully joined forces for drama.  There was a full house for each performance and the feedback from those who attended has been really positive.  Michelle Conway, Prosper Fingal thanked the cast, staff and the wider community for all their support.
